Alabama Industrial Development

AMR REIT, Inc., of Dallas, TX, is excited to announce that it has recently expanded its industrial portfolio with the acquisition of 25 acres in Jefferson County, Alabama.   AMR has partnered with Prestige Development, also of Dallas, TX, in the planning and development of the Jefferson County location.  Peinado Construction, of Frisco, TX—who has a strong presence in Alabama providing general contractor services—has been hired as the general contractor for completion of the project.   The project includes construction of a manufacturing facility to be leased by a major Tier 1 Automotive Supplier.  The single-tenant building located on the site will include a total of 305,000 sq. ft. comprised of 22,000 sq. ft. of office space, 283,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and a large shipping floor with 34 dock doors.  The development and addition of this site is projected to add hundreds of jobs in the Jefferson County Area.     The site is located at the gateway of Jefferson Metropolitan Industrial Park, which is near I-20 and in close proximity to other industrial areas within Hoover and Birmingham.   In addition, AMR and Prestige Development have recently broken ground on a smaller 110,000 sq. ft building on the adjoining 11 acres and has been in conversation with multiple prospective tenants for the site. Although the tenant has not yet been selected, AMR looks forward to sharing that with us soon.
